Dr Stone Season 3 Overview
Dr Stone(dokutasuton) is an animated series inspired by the manga with the same title written by Riichiro Inagaki. Its illustrations were done with the help of South Korean artist Boichi. A glowing green light hits the Earth and frightens the entire population of the globe, turning every human being into stone, the world is transported back to the past. The years of civilisation are gone and the only way to restore it lies with Senku, a genius scientist. Senku.
From the studios that are part of TMS Entertainment, the show is produced by TOHO Animation, Shueisha and 8PAN. Each episode runs for a duration between 20 and 25 minutes.

After an end in sight, with the Stone Wars over and Tsukasa’s Empire of Might joining forces with the Kingdom of Science, Senku is one step closer to his dream of sailing around the globe. But, he is an accomplished scientist, but not a sailor. Therefore it is his decision to utilize Elixier of Life, aka Nitric Acid, on Ryusui Nanami. He is a natural sailors who is able to take the entire group to their destination.
But, after a few millennia of time, the world is not the same , and their current mission is to make a new map of the world. To accomplish this, Senku builds a hot air balloon to provide a broad view of the town. With the help of Ryusui the balloonist sets off on the machine that flies to draw a new map. They share the same traits and know one another well and this makes their work simpler and more enjoyable.
The premiere follows the same structure as the previous episodes and leads the viewers through a variety of adventures. While not skipping a single stage of the procedure, an in-depth description of each job is explained. The story is as sensible as is possible and the elements of it don’t seem like they are out of the ordinary. The creators have read the manga in depth without skipping important aspects that keep the story fascinating.
A significant character growth can be observed. Ryusui is seen to be a self-absorbed , uncaring man, is shown being concerned about the villager suffering. In addition, he is never unable to show respect to those who is around him, no matter their past. Senku is also observed getting closer to the characters, and establishing relationships with his neighbors. The story unfolds slowly that helps us comprehend the story more clearly.
In addition to the plot, animation is top-quality like every other. The characters are designed extremely well and each one has certain qualities that make the characters stand out. The vast landscapes are presented with a stunning style and are accompanied by elaborate details to create a realistic look but still retaining its essence 2D animation. Voice actors have also given incredible performances and brought every individual character to life.
Overall, it was a solid and enjoyable beginning into the 3rd season. The story telling process is still unsteady, but it doesn’t drag out the same scene overly long to make it meet the time-stamp.
Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 1 Review: Final Thoughts
With an infectious OST tune and a captivating storyline, the debut installment of the series is up to expectations. The show continues to provide suspense and excitement and keep the viewers entertained. The anticipation of the upcoming episodes continues to grow.
